
I am a Professor of English at Southern New Hampshire University, where I teach composition and eighteenth-, nineteenth-, and twentieth-century British literature and gender studies. I hold a Ph.D. in English and Doctoral Emphasis in Feminist Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.A. and B.A. in English from Boston College. Before moving to Manchester in 2011, I taught at Bemidji State University and the University of South Florida.
I am also the President of the Nineteenth Century Studies Association. I am a past Treasurer of the Dickens Society and a past Delegate Assembly Member of the Modern Language Association. At SNHU, I have served as English Major Coordinator, English Department Chair, Director of Undergraduate Research, and Director of General Education.
